Clean Watersheds Needs Survey

Wildfire management

Comprehensive plans for development, utilization, and conservation of water and related resources

Forest Service Legacy Road and Trail Remediation Program

IIJA amends the Forest Roads and Trails Act to establish this program, through which the Forest Service must—taking into account foreseeable changes in weather and hydrology—perform critical maintenance and urgent repairs and improvements on National Forest System’s roads, trails, and bridges to primarily improve public safety, water quality, wildlife habitats, and recreational access.
