National Transit Database

This database is a repository for financial data, operating statistics, safety events, and asset conditions from transit systems, which is used by the FTA to apportion funds to urban and rural areas, inform decision-making, and for research. IIJA requires geographic service area coverage and data on assaults on transit workers and fatalities due to bus impact to be reported to the NTD.
