Eligibility

This program funds the construction of the Appalachian Development Highway System, a 3,090-mile network of highways linking the Appalachian region to national interstates, to generate economic development and improve access. Congress stopped providing dedicated ADHS funds to state DOTs in 2012, but IIJA will provide dedicated funding over five years for this program at the Federal Highway Administration.
